Dorney Park, which was first developed as a summer resort area in 1884, was acquired by Cedar Fair in
1992, and is located near Allentown in South Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania. Dorney Park is one of
the largest amusement parks in the Northeast and serves a total market area of approximately 35
million people.
Situated on approximately 200 acres, Dorney Park features more than 50 rides and attractions,
including Talon, one of the tallest and fastest inverted roller coasters in the world; Camp Snoopy,
a family playland themed around the popular PEANUTS comic strip characters; Dominator, a 200-foot-tall
thrill ride; Steel Force, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world; Hercules, a
world-class wooden roller coaster; and four additional roller coasters.
In 1985, Wildwater Kingdom was opened, offering the Northeast one of the top-rated seasonal water
parks in the country. For the 2003 season, Wildwater Kingdom will introduce 10 new water slides,
including the 52-foot-tall Patriot’s Plunge, which features three enclosed double-tubing slides in
the colors of red, white and blue; and Wildwater Rapids, featuring four separate body slides. Other
attractions in the water park include the Aquablast, one of the longest elevated water slides in the
world, eleven additional water slides, the Lollipop Lagoon children's area, a giant wave pool and
much more. Wildwater Kingdom has been recognized for several years as one of the most exciting inland
water attractions in the world.
